Video Essentials’s Video Campaigns of the Year Awards: The Winners

After a difficult week of sifting through the entries for’s inaugural Video Campaigns of the Year awards, we’re pleased to announce the winners. We’d like to thank everyone who took the time to submit their work. Your dedication to online video and innovation in reaching viewers was an inspiration.

OV-Video-Campaigns-3_c2-360x203The Video Campaigns of the Year Awards looked for excellence in different product areas, agency types, and platforms, because online video is anything but one-size fits all. Below are the winners in every category. We’ve linked to the central video for each campaign, or to the video landing page. (We declined to award a prize in a few categories that didn’t have robust competition.)

Contest entries showed a remarkable range, and our winners demonstrated the power that online video contains. We were especially impressed by how SAS used online video to show that data analysis was able to reduce suffering after a terrible tragedy, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra used a novel online video program to promote itself and raise revenue during a time of fiscal hardship.

A hearty congratulations to all our winners. We’ll be in touch to get you your certificates. Come back in January 2017 to nominate your best work in next year’s contest.

  1. I want to thank Streaming Video, and the judging panel for this award. I really owe a lot to the surgeons featured in my video who have spent careers helping to develop new and better ways to use robotic surgery to benefit patients around the world. I especially thank the Vattikuti family, who continue to give back to society in so many ways through the Vattikuti Foundation. I also appreciate the YouTube platform which helps this non-profit by hosting the videos.

As a lifelong Detroiter, I also am pleased to see that the Detroit Symphony Orchestra has been awarded as well. The fact that they make all of their concerts available online is very beneficial to music lovers around the world. (Nothing is better than being there in person- I highly suggest it!)

    Thanks again,
