CutCue Holds the Secrets to International Online Video Marketing

Singapore-based startup CutCue  is one of the rare companies that will make even the most jaded online video marketer sit up and take notice. The company’s online service lets marketers get a feel for how their campaigns would be received in other countries and cultures without having to launch expensive research campaigns.
CutCut works by mixing advanced analytics software with a vast database of reviews. Using the service, marketers can quickly generate a report that spells out the likely impact of a video or an image in a foreign country. Currently, CutCue can test videos created in 50 countries against 13 different cultures.
Plus, the whole service is free. Can’t beat that. For now, the people behind CutCue are more interested in improving their service than charging fees.
To get started, marketers first indicate where their video was created, then choose the culture they want to test it in. Once they’ve select the video they’re done. In minutes; CutCue performs an analysis by comparing the video to a review database. The end result is an attractive online report that includes sections on how comfortable the other nation will be with the video, the top brands in that country, and personality characteristics of that population. The report also spells out cultural associations that culture has with the colors used in the video, and the social networks popular in that country. Marketers get the automated report in minutes, and a second optional report that includes feedback from people in that culture an hour later. Both reports are free.
