Making video-enabled website creation simple has been Bizideo‘s job for the last two years, and this week it made the process easier still with the release of over 30 templates.
Bizideo, if you haven’t heard of it, is an online company that lets brands or individuals create customized websites in minutes. The company’s president and CEO, Bill Pelton, didn’t plan on getting into the site creation business. He’s a videographer and noticed that many of his clients needed help creating simple sites to house his video. Since he couldn’t find a strong solution, he decided to make one.
Clients can select the pages they want for their site and easily customize the text, graphics, videos, buttons, and more. All pages are built in HTML5, so they can play on any device or platform. There’s no software to install as customers build their sites directly in the browser.
Anyone who wants to try out Bizideo can create a free one-page site. It can hold one video, one player, and one playlist. Paid options for video sites start at a reasonable $25 per month. That price gets clients a five-page site that can hold ten standard-definition (640×480) videos), and five playlists. Videos are encoded into MP4 and Flash formats for playback on all platforms. Customers who need high-definition video can get it as a paid extra for $10 per month. Bizideo helpfully stores the original copies of all uploaded videos, in case a client decides to add HD video at a later time. Additional pages are also a paid extra. Customers can get five additional pages for $5 per month or 32 for $15 per month.
Bizideo customers can also build mobile pages as part of their accounts, to create lightweight versions that will display faster on mobile devices.
This week’s news adds templates to the Bizideo site-builder for the first time. The company has released over 30 templates, and Pelton promises there are more to come. Clients can also have custom templates created, for an extra charge.
While the paid plans include a setup fee, new customers can avoid it by using the code “NiceToMeetYou” at checkout. Bizideo is making this offer to the first 100 new customers to sign up, so check it out before they’re gone.
“I saw a need within the videographer community, I would get asked by people, ‘Can you help with my website?’ I wanted a simple tool that I could build around the website I was creating for my customers. This allows me to do that,” says Pelton.
