You can get a fisheye lens, a wide angle lens, and a macro lens all for $70 total. You can if you have the iPhone 4 or 4S, that is. The makers of OlloClip are in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the Consumer Electronics Show, showing off their compact solution for getting more out of the iPhone’s camera.
The OlloClip attaches to the lens corner of the iPhone by sliding into place. One side offers a fisheye lens that can capture a 180-degree field-of-view. Turn the lens around and you have a wide angle lens that lets you fit twice as much into your videos as you thought possible.
The clip has one more trick: unscrew the wide-angle lens and you’ll expose the macro lens, which is part of the wide-angle assembly. Use it to get close on small subjects. It multiplies the image around 10x.
The high-res iPhone camera is the videocam of choice for many small- and medium-sized businesses. It works well and it’s always on-hand. With the OlloClip, the usefulness of the iPhone’s camera increases greatly, and all three extra lens fit easily into any pocket. The OlloClip comes with a carrying case and a lens cleaner.
