Animoto helps businesses and individuals turn their photos into engaging video slideshows, and now doing so is faster and easier. The company has streamlined its workflow, so that users can create slideshows in five clicks.
The workflow has been redesigned from the ground up, says Animoto. Users can now see up to 300 thumbnail images at a time, thanks to an improved expandable workspace. The idea is to help users create longer videos that use more photos.
Editing has been improved, as well, thanks to full-size image previews. Additionally, users can now preview text from within thumbnails.
“The magic of Animoto has always been the ability for anyone to quickly create extraordinary videos through a simple, intuitive interface that doesn’t feel like an editing tool,” says Brad Jefferson, CEO of Animoto. “Our all-new creation flow is a huge leap forward in simplicity and provides the framework for us to innovate on our vision faster, while addressing user-requested features more quickly.”
Animoto offers video slideshow styles, to give videos a particular look, and with this update it’s adding a new one: Vintage Voyage. The 26th style available to users, Vintage Voyage gives slideshows an antique, old-world feel.
The service lets prospective users create one 30-second slideshow video for free. A professional account costs $39 per month or $249 per year, and allows for unlimited 720p HD videos, no Animoto branding, the use of licensed music tracks, and priority support.
