Your viewers will tolerate video quality that’s slightly under par. But they’ll leave in a second if you’ve got bad audio.

There are two techniques you can use to make sure your audio is loud, clear, and robust: normalization and compression. In this how-to video, we’ll show you how to use both in Adobe Premiere and Adobe Audition.

Normalization increases volume as much as possible without introducing distortion into the file. Compression, on the other hand, makes the signal as robust as possible.
