We’re only one month away from the release of Apple Final Cut Pro X, a radical reinvention of the professional video editor that promises to add important new features, make editing even easier, and drop the price to just $300.
If you’d like to see what you can expect in the program, take a look at this slick video first-look created by Zach King of FinalCutKing.com. King selected the best shots from the Las Vegas meet-up where the program was announced to create this brief but comprehensive intro to FCP’s new direction.

Hi Troy and thanks for the preview.
This looks pretty cool, however, I think I will stick with FCE Express 4 and the tools that came with it.
I have spent an incredible amount of time and money on training and software to justify this new “toy” and the learning curve that will accompany it.
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!
Just my two cents . .

Frankly Bryan…FCE IS broken, or at least severely crippled by it’s legacy technology. It doesn’t support 24p footage, nor 64-bit computing, nor multi-threaded/multiple-core machinery, nor native support for many contemporary formats.
If FCE works for you…fine. But I’d prefer a more contemporary toolset.
I realize that this is perhaps more than $0.02 worth…sorry ’bout that!
