Animoto Announces Partner Program at SXSW

Animoto, a site that allows users to turn photos into video slideshows, announced a partner program at the South by Southwest Interactive conference that allows third-party sites to put the Animoto video tools on their sites.

The partner offering is targeted to a wide variety of sites—including mobile, social media, imaging, publishing, and advertising—with the goal of increasing visitor engagement times. Animoto has already attracted Kodak Gallery, AG Interactive, and Aviary, which will offer the video services to their visitors.

Animoto’s tools can be customized to fit the needs of the host sites. Services can work by subscription or a la carte, or can be bundled with other site offerings.

“Animoto will allow our users to seamlessly turn their Kodak Moments into stunning videos that will amaze their friends and family,” says Victor Cho, general manager of Kodak Gallery. “The Animoto Partner Platform was easy for our development team to integrate. It’s very flexible, and gives us a strategic new offering for our growing menu of customer purchase options. The feedback we’ve received during our private beta has been very positive. Customers like bringing their photos to life with music and motion, as well as the ease of creating a video slideshow.”

Companies interested in adding video services to their sites can submit a request on Animoto’s developer page.
