Taboola creates video recommendations so that visitors to a website are more likely to find content that interests then. The company announced today that it’s broadening its relationship with Brightcove so that even smaller sites can benefit from Taboola’s recommendations.
Small and medium-sized sites that use Brightcove’s $499 per month Express package (which lets them host 500 videos and use 250GB of bandwidth per month) now have the option of subscribing to Taboola’s recommendation service for $59 per month.
Taboola’s video recommendations work by analyzing behavioral and contextual data to determine which videos will most interest a reader. Recommendations appear as a list of thumbnail images with the title “Other Videos You May Like,” and can display on index pages, article pages, and video pages.
“We are very excited about expanding our partnership with Brightcove even further, working with their great Express team on this project to offer our discovery platform to smaller sites,” says Taboola’s founder and CEO Adam Singolda. “We had a remarkable 2010, growing our publisher network with exciting partners, and we are thrilled about offering our platform for the first time to every website that is using Brightcove Express.”
