ViewCast Announces Two Modules to Extend Media Platform

The ViewCast Media Platform, used for enterprise video distribution, gains new abilities today with the release of two software modules.

The VMp Portal module lets users easily collect, share and distribute media content throughout the enterprise. Employees can upload their material and tag it correctly. They can also use the portal to search the media library and view video using a YouTube-style player. Uploaded media can be published or syndicated to other sites.

The VMp Live module lets employees schedule live events, capture video, and then distribute it to desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. This module also lets an administrator remotely control any number of Niagara video appliances.

The new two modules can be used together or independently of each other.

The ViewCast Media Platform, written as VMp, is designed to let organizations collect, manage, and share video and other media. It supports online video publishing, live streaming, video-on-demand, and asset management. Because the system is modular, customers are free to choose only those modules they need.

“With the arrival of VMp Portal and VMp Live, ViewCast is meeting the surging demand for sophisticated yet easy-to-use digital media management solutions that enable organizations of all sizes and charters to yield the greatest possible value from their digital assets,” says ViewCast president and CEO Dave Stoner.
