For businesses that don’t know where to start with online video, Simply Streaming has just launched and it aims to take any complexity out of serving media. You don’t need to know anything about formats or bitrates to use the service for internal or external content.
The site will transcode, serve, and host your company’s videos. Customers don’t need to convert their videos to any particular format, as the site handles the work of converting content to Flash Video. In fact, videos can be uploaded with a drag-and-drop interface, so even the tools are easy.
For internal or sensitive material, videos can be password protected through the service’s user management utility. Customers can create lists of viewers allowed to view content. Customers will also get access to basic analytic data.
Simply Streaming has a novel pricing plan that benefits those just starting out. Customers pay $3 per video use hour. Anyone interested can try the service free for three days or 10 video hours, whichever comes first.
“A great deal of programming and thought has gone into the creation of the Simply Streaming business video platform,” says Bill Everham, sales manager for Simply Streaming. “More content-rich than YouTube, we like to think of Simply Streaming as YouTube on steroids.
