The Apple iPad and iPhone are the hot mobile devices of the moment, and there’s a rush on with Online Video Platforms and video advertising companies to support them. Since Apple won’t allow Flash support on its mobiles, companies that want to work with Apple need to add HTML5 support to their portfolios. The latest to do so is online advertiser Jivox, out of San Mateo, California.
Jivox delivers interactive video advertising campaigns, and now those ads will work on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch.
Using the latest version of Jivox’s online video advertising platform, advertisers will be able to stream ads to any mobile device without worrying about compatibility. The player detects the device the viewer is using and automatically switches to HTML5 (and the correctly coded video) when needed.
“With the explosive growth in mobile Web browsing and high quality video capable devices such as the iPad, it is critical that advertisers use an ad platform that can deliver the ad regardless of the device the user is using,” says Diaz Nesamoney, Jivox’s CEO.
“Most providers of interactive video ads are based on Adobe Flash which means the ads cannot be viewed on most mobile devices. Jivox takes technology integration out of the equation to let advertisers run interactive video ad campaigns across a variety of devices without worrying about formats or technology integration issues,” adds Nesamoney.
