Online video platform VMIX named Patrick Burns its new CEO this morning, and with that new leader comes a new focus. The company will begin to expand its reach into enterprise, government, and non-profit markets.
Burns has worked in senior positions or consulting roles with startups throughout his career. He brings over 20 years of experience as CEO to high-growth software, hardware, and medical device companies.
“VMIX is poised for tremendous growth and success in the online video industry,” Burns says. “They’ve long been at the forefront of developing innovative applications for video and the team continues to break new ground, executing on solutions for a rapidly evolving mobile sector, and providing clients with the analytics and business tools they need to succeed with video.”
Burns’s abilities to take businesses to the next level was one of the key criteria in his selection, says VMIX board member Hatch Graham. Burns was also selected due to his experience leading companies in the domestic and international tech markets.
“VMIX has become a clear leader in providing end-to-end solutions for the media and publishing industries,” says Burns. “Our focus moving forward is to apply that success to help enterprises communicate with their customers and employees, government organizations deliver services, and non-profit industries educate and garner support.
